Some folks have character!
When the rest of their lives is in ruins, they don't make excuses for themselves. Even when they're financially poor, or they lack support from their families, or the walls of this life seem to close in on them; even when they feel that one more blow may finally bring them to their knees, they are secure in one thing -- that whatever happens to them, in this life, it can never be more than they will be able to take. Neither will it alter their character.
These people always manage to demonstrate integrity and honesty, even in the most harrowing circumstances. In fact, it is second nature to them. You are that way. You are strong because you know that nothing can prevent you from choosing compassion over complacency, cooperation over division, involvement over indifference, and tolerance over rejection. You are the ones who consistently "do the right thing" because you have character.
